Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

Coached by Far West Conference and NCAA Division III Coach of the Year Frank Cheek, the 1977 wrestling team captured the FWC championship with a dual meet record of 17-2 and placed second at the NCAA Division III national championships. Five student-athletes were All-Americans, including national champion Eric Woolsey. Four individuals also recorded conference championships.
