Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

Lawson, who earned All-FWC honors in baseball in 1955-57, captained the Lumberjacks for two years. He was the starting shortstop all four years. As the leading hitter with a batting average over .400, Lawson led the team in homeruns during his baseball career at Humboldt. He was named the Most Valuable Player his senior year. Lawson also played varsity basketball from 1955-58.
