Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

During the 1976 and 1977 seasons, Peters was an All-American in cross country as he finished 20^th in the nation in 1976 and 12^th in the nation in 1977.  He was an All-American in track and field in 1977 and 1978. Peters finished fourth in the nation in 1977 and third in 1978 in the 5000-meters.  Peters has the tenth fastest time in school history in the 5,000-meters.  The Lumberjack cross country teams finished second in the nation in 1976 and 1977 and in 1977 were Far Western Conference champions.
