Heather Snyder broke the Humboldt State record in the discus with a throw of 143 feet, 6 inches at the CSU Stanislaus Twilight Meet on Friday. Snyder's toss eclipsed the mark of 43-3 achieved by Cindy Hicks 25 years ago.
