As announced today by the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Humboldt State University women's soccer player Sabine Postma is the recipient of the 2020 CCAA Women's Soccer Championship Scholar-Athlete award.

The Championship Scholar Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the final CCAA championship site in each conference-sponsored sport. For the 2020-21 academic year, all participating student-athletes in each sport will receive consideration for the award.

"This is an amazing honor for Sabine to be named the CCAA Championship Scholar-Athlete," said Humboldt State head women's soccer coach Grant Landy.  "In the short time that I have been able to coach Sabine, the dedication to her sport, leadership to her team and diligence to her academics has been at the highest level.  She has been a leader within our soccer program as well as the Humboldt academic community.  Sabine has a remarkable work ethic so I am thrilled for her to be recognized for such a prestigious award.  This is a proud moment for Sabine, our soccer program and Humboldt State University."
