ARCATA – Despite dominating possession most of the game, the Humboldt State men's soccer team could not capitalize on numerous opportunities, resulting in 0-0 draw against UC San Diego in California Collegiate Athletic Association action Friday in Arcata.
Humboldt State's record stands now stands at 5-8-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the CCAA. UC San Diego is now 2-7-2 and 1-4-2 in the CCAA.
“We had great opportunities to score today, but it just wasn't falling for us,” said head coach Andy Cumbo.
The Jacks out shot the Tritons by a 19-8 margin, but only seven of them were on goal. UCSD goalkeeper Peter Ackman kept the Jacks off the scoreboard by making all seven saves.
