ROHNERT PARK — (Aug. 25) After battling to a 30-27 loss in the first game of the match, Humboldt State's volleyball team struggled to find any rhythm in games two and three, falling 3-0 to Northwest Nazarene Saturday morning at the Seawolf Spike Volleyball Tournament in Rohnert Park.

The Lumberjacks, now 1-2 on the season, took an early lead in the first game until the Crusaders tallied four straight points to break a 12-12 tie. Down 19-24, the Jacks pushed the score to 26-27, but were unable to get over the hump, losing by three points.

In game two, the Crusaders scored six straight points to take a 19-11 lead, then ended the game with a nine-point run, claiming a 30-14 win.

Humboldt never gathered any momentum back in the final game, falling 30-12 while hitting at a -.049 percentage.

Poerava Gantt had 10 kills to lead HSU's offense while Olivia Solomon chipped in eight.

Cammy Dranginis and Chelsea Pelton paced Northwest Nazarene with 14 and 12 kills apiece.
