The Redhawks' Erin Martin tallied the loss after pitching seven innings, 11 hits and four earned runs and marking two strike outs, with a 12-1 record.

The Lumberjacks started off on the right foot, as they were the first to score with a run in the top of the first. Klug singled to left field and then advanced off of a wild pitch. Klug and Galletly, who got on a base by being hit by a pitch, advanced to third and second base, respectively, off of a passed ball. With one out, Slattery hit a sacrifice fly ball to drive in Klug.

The Redhawks tied the game in the bottom of the first with two outs. Megan MacIsaac singled to center field and then stole second. To secure the Lumberjacks win Klug singled to center field, stole second and then scored off of Galletly's single to right field. With one out, Joanna Schultz came in to pinch run for Galletly, who advanced to third off of Slattery's double to left center. “This game was a good win for us,” said Cheek. “This was our revenge from last year as we lost to them twice in the west region. This game was one of our best games this year, both defensively and offensively, and it was against a good team and a team with a good record coming into today's game.”

The Jacks tallied nine runs, 19 hits and one error on the day, while Galletly was HSU's big hitter of the day, as she went 5-6 registering four RBIs, and marked two doubles in the day's final game. In game two, Klug went 2-3 with a stolen base, while Lindsay Warren went 2-4.
