Gleason's Comments
“Cal State L.A. have a handful of players back from last year that we know about. Of what we have seen they are athletic. They crash the boards and are going to challenge us. They hit the offensive boards hard and are physical in the post, so we are going to have to match that physicality without getting in foul trouble. (Junior center Shatori) Dearman had a great game against us last year, so we'll have to make sure she doesn't hurt us again in the paint. They are a team that we can't under estimate. When they execute and crash the boards they can string together some good runs.” ... “I'm surprised that (CSU Dominguez Hills) has dropped their last three games. They are a really good team. They return a lot of good players. From what we saw it looked like they were running and shooting 3-pointers a lot more than last year. They have some great shooters in (Kayla) Montalva and (MacKenzie) Mathias. They have a big post player in Barbara Houston. In the CSULA game they played really well. With that 1-3 record I expect them to come out ready to go and try to get back on track.”
