ARCATA, Calif. – After an opening three road games, Humboldt State women's basketball opens its home schedule Tuesday night. The Lumberjacks host the Royals of Hope International in a 7 p.m. tip-off.

Trailing 23-21 with 1:46 in the first half, Shields converted a three-point play to start a 12-0 run, during which she totaled seven of the points, over a four-minute period. The second 2:16 of the Lumberjacks' run opened the second half and gave the visitors a 33-23 advantage over the Wolves. HSU led the rest of the contest and recorded the 10-point win.
GLEASON LOOKS FOR NINTH HOME-OPENING WINHSU Head Coach
Joddie Gleason has guided her team to an impressive 167 wins and three NCAA DII West Region appearances in the last 10 seasons. Tonight, Gleason tries to improve upon her 8-2 home-opening record. Her teams won both home openers played against Hope International (69-57 on Nov. 18, 2011 and 64-55 on Nov. 20, 2012).

HOPE INTERNATIONAL GAME NOTESCRAMMER LEADS ROYALS TO NATIONAL TOURNEYIn his fourth year last season, Hope International Head Coach Bill Crammer led his team to a 23-10 record and the program's first appearance at the NAIA National Tournament. His team ran through three Golden State Athletic Conference opponents including then No. 1 ranked Vanguard for theleague's tournament title.
ROYALS NATIONALLY-RANKED IN EARLY SEASONComing off its 23-win season, the Royals have been ranked in the NAIA Division II Top 25 this season. Hope International sat at 23rd in last week's national rankings.
ALL-AMERICAN BAUMAN PACES ATTACKAll-American Brittany Bauman paces the Hope International offensive attack. The senior guard averages 18.4 points and two rebounds per contest in her team's first eight games. Bauman is the Royals' top outside scoring threat with 23 treys.
DROPPED LAST TWO CONTESTSHope International fell short in its last two contests. The Royals fell, 61-46, to Westminster (UT) last Friday. In an exhibition contest, Cal State Los Angeles prevailed, 65-58, on November 15.
HOST DOMINICAN SATURDAY NIGHTHSU will complete its home pair of games when it hosts Dominican University on Saturday night. The game starts at 7 p.m.
