Simpson has lost seven straight games heading into this weekend's matchup. The Redhawks are no stranger to the North Coast and have faced the Jacks in either regular season or exhibition action over the last five seasons.
HSU leads the all-time series with an 8-0 record over Simpson. The Jacks topped the Redhawks, 110-77, last season in Lumberjack Arena.
Senior guard Jacob Kaler leads the Redhawks in scoring with 18.8 points per game. He is a capable 3-point shooter and leads the team with 26 field goals from outside the arc.
Simpson has been outscored by an average of 16.4 points per game and has been outrebounded 556-411. The Redhawks are 0-6 on the road this season.
The Jacks have established themselves as one of the nation's most dangerous teams from outside the arc. HSU ranked eighth nationally this week with 11.4 3-point field goals averaged per game.

Thomas Witzel has connected on a team-best 27 shots from beyond the arc. The Arcata, Calif., native is shooting 45 percent from long distance.
