ARCATA, Calif. – Humboldt State men's basketball hopes to snap its losing streak when it hosts rival No. 19 Chico State Thursday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
 
A Saturday loss to Cal State San Marcos extended the Lumberjacks' skid to four games, the program's longest since the 2012-13 season. Tyler Green scored a season-high 17 points in 30 minutes of action against the Cougars. Green has scored 10 or more points in six times this season and two of the last three games.
 
The Wildcats have won nine straight and are coming off a 77-70 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills. Jalen McFerren notched his second double-double of the season with a team-high 20 points and 10 boards against the Toros. Chico State is dominating the glass and has a plus-9.9 average rebounding margin.
 
SERIES BREAKDOWN
Chico State dealt the Green and Gold a 96-73 loss in their early season meeting. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 123-77, and the Jacks are 6-9 against Chico State under Head Coach Steve Kinder.
