ARCATA, Calif. – Humboldt State women's basketball hopes to end its losing streak with a midweek visit to the Bay Area and a Tuesday showdown with San Francisco State. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Lumberjacks have lost four straight, including a pair of California Collegiate Athletic Association home games last weekend. Cal State East Bay topped HSU 79-71 Friday, and Cal State Monterey Bay defeated the Green and Gold by 19, 66-47, Saturday. Arcata native
Ashlynn Cox had a pair of impressive performances last weekend and averaged 10.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Cox scored a career-high 11 points in Saturday's game against the Otters.
SF State is riding a five-game losing streak and it has lost its last two games by 20 or more points. The Gators have the CCAA's worst scoring offense and are averaging just 55.1 points per game. Kaitlin DaDalt is one of SF State's offensive leaders and a player to watch. She scored a career-high 18 points in the team's loss to Chico State, and the junior is averaging 10.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
