ARCATA, Calif. –
Humboldt State continues its six-game homestand with a pair of games this weekend in Lumberjack Arena. The Lumberjacks host Sonoma State Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Miramar Sunday at 4 p.m.

A 24-point performance from Tyras Rattler Jr. wasn't enough to lead HSU past Menlo College last weekend. The Green and Gold saw their streak of 30 consecutive home non-conference victories snapped with the 79-78 loss. HSU led by eight with five minutes to play, but the Oaks rallied and used a 3-point play by John Paine and a free throw from Charles Neal to capture the road upset.

Sonoma State is riding a losing streak of its own after dropping its fourth straight game last Saturday in the Wolves' Den versus Stanislaus State. The Seawolves boast the league's worst scoring offense (69.0 points per game) and have been limited to 62 or fewer points in their last three outings. Junior guard Armani Nichols leads the squad averaging 16.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Sunday's game is a non-counter and will pit the Jacks against Miramar of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. The Fighting Falcons have faced stiff competition this season with games against Division II competition in Cal State San Bernardino, Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Fairbanks and Point Loma. The game will also feature the annual Ugly Sweater promotion, so fans are encouraged to wear their ugly holiday sweaters.

SERIES BREAKDOWN
HSU leads the all-time series against Sonoma State with a record of 51-40, and the Jacks have won two of the last three meetings. Miramar will be facing HSU for the first time.
