CARSON, Calif. -- The first conference road trip of the season saw the Cal Poly Humboldt women's basketball team take on a 4-0 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday evening from the Torodome. Despite a dominant 19 point, 12 rebound double-double performance from
Devon Lewis, the Jacks struggled to get into a rhythm and tame the Toros early, resulting in a 68-51 defeat on the road.
MATCH SUMMARY
The Lumberjacks and Toros were even at six with 3:55 left to go in the first quarter before Dominguez Hills grabbed the momentum and finished the quarter with a 16-8 lead. The Toros continued their first half run well into the second quarter and the Jacks found themselves down 37-19 heading into the locker rooms.
