QUOTES FROM COACHES
Head Coach Sarah Ingram:
"Each of these ladies bring tremendous talent and character to Cal Poly Humboldt, making a powerful and immediate impact on our women's track & field program when they arrive. They have accomplished a lot in high school athletically and academically, and are hungry to continue developing and learning in their events, and will fit well within the strengths of our program. Coco will join Grace Kasberger, our returning conference champion heptathlete, providing a training partner as she continues developing her hurdling, jumping, and throwing events within the 7-event heptathlon. Coco and Ginny already know each other from competing as rivals in the NCS championships together, and will both join returning conference champion Joy Hano in training for the hurdles and long jump. Mia and Cadence will play a key role in our 4x100 meter relay, as well as focusing on their specialty in the individual sprints. Each of these ladies will be competitive at our conference level and beyond, and we're ecstatic to start off this recruitment cycle with such a talented core group of women. We'll continue to recruit through the winter and into the early spring to fill our remaining 2023-24 roster, so stay tuned for more high-caliber additions."

Assistant Coach Teigan Eilers:
"We are very excited to bring on these four female athletes next year and even more excited about their eagerness to become a part of an already thriving Lumberjack Track and Field team. Each of them brings a unique set of athletic abilities and something special to display as future Lumberjacks, and will have a huge impact on the depth of our women's team as well as relays. These are truly the type of student-athletes that will help kick start a big growth period for our team in the years to come. The attitude and culture is changing here and it's exciting to see that student-athletes, local and state-wide, are taking notice of the past successes and future opportunities Humboldt can provide both athletically and academically. This early success in recruiting has given us a lot of momentum moving forward and is setting us up for a very successful 2023-2024 recruiting class."
