HUMBOLDT STATE: Second year rower for the Jacks

2011: Rowed five seat in the varsity eight that placed third at NCAA National Championships ... awarded varsity "H" block letter.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Arcata High (2006-2010) ... Competed in three years of varsity swimming (2006-2009) ... two seasons of JV basketball ... competed with the Humboldt Bay Rowing Association (2009-2010)
2009: recieved gold medal for finishing first at the Southwest Regional Junior Rowing Championships in the Novice quad
2010: finished second in the double(2x) at SW Regionals and third in the quad(4x)...  at the Juniors National Championship finished seventh overall in the quad(4x) and 11th in the double(2x).

PERSONAL: Born July 27, 1992 in Arcata ... parents are Mike and Heather Torquemada ... hobbies include swimming,running, surfing, cooking, hiking,painting, attending music festivals ... majoring in International Studies.
