Josh Irvin joins the Humboldt State football coaching staff after spending three years at San Jose State University. Irvin will be the new receivers coach for the Lumberjacks.
While at San Jose State, Irvin served as the linebackers coach and defensive quality control coordinator. Irvin assisted with film breakdown and operated as the play signaler on game days.
Before his time at San Jose, Irvin spent one season as the defensive backs coach at Chapman University for the 2014-15 season. Irvin also played for Chapman and was named team captain for the Panthers from 2011-13.
Irvin graduated from Chapman University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
