Was named to the All-Mesa League First Team offense as a junior and First Team defense as a senior ... Received the Team MVP award his senior year ... Also lettered in track and field and was a three-time shot put champion and two-time discus champion.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Ed and Martha Bajet ... Cousin Roberto Persona played baseball for the University of Southern California and the New York Mets …His uncle, Julio Alcala, played football for Colorado State ... Enjoys cooking and the great outdoors.
