PRIOR TO HUMBOLDT: Bento-Jackson comes to Cal Poly Humboldt from Arcata High School where he was a starter on the varsity basketball team the past four years. During his career at Arcata, Bento-Jackson surpassed the 1,000 point milestone as he scored a total of 1,035 points. He has been named the following: 2x Humboldt-Del Norte League Co-MVP, 2x Humboldt Sports Player of the Year, 3x Arcata Invitational Basketball Tournament All-Tournament selection, 2x Red Bluff Tournament All-Tourney selection, 2022 Marin Catholic All Tourney selection, 2x McKinleyville Tournament All Tourney Selection, and 2021 McKinleyville Tournament MVP.Â
