Biography

HUMBOLDT (2023): Appeared in all 27 games, starting 15, logging 660 minutes (second on the team)...Led the team in three pointers, with 45, averaging 1.7 per game, ranking him 10th in the CCAA...Recorded 172 points, averaging 6.4 per game, along with 47 rebounds and 15 steals. 

PRIOR TO HUMBOLDT: Bento-Jackson comes to Cal Poly Humboldt from Arcata High School where he was a starter on the varsity basketball team the past four years.  During his career at Arcata, Bento-Jackson surpassed the 1,000 point milestone as he scored a total of 1,035 points. He has been named the following: 2x Humboldt-Del Norte League Co-MVP, 2x Humboldt Sports Player of the Year, 3x Arcata Invitational Basketball Tournament All-Tournament selection, 2x Red Bluff Tournament All-Tourney selection, 2022 Marin Catholic All Tourney selection, 2x McKinleyville Tournament All Tourney Selection, and 2021 McKinleyville Tournament MVP. 

PERSONAL: Humboldt native...Undeclared major...Son to Al and Michelle Bento-Jackson, head women's basketball coach at Cal Poly Humboldt...Dad played basketball at West Valley College and Chapman University...Mother played basketball and softball at Fresno State University...Enjoys listening to music...Fun fact, In 8th grade, he was the Humboldt County cross county champion.
