HAWAI'I PACIFIC UNIVERSITY: In Fall of 2020, Burgess transferred from Hawai'i Pacific where he red-shirted in 2019-20.
GAVILAN COLLEGE: Prior to attending HPU, Burgess went to Gavilan College from 2017-19. In his sophomore season at Gavilan, Burgess averaged 12.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. He shot 46.4% from the field including 37.6% from three's while connecting on 83% of his attempts from the line. The 6-5 shooting guard help lead Gavilan to a 27-3 record including a 12-0 conference record. He was a Dean's List Honoree his sophomore season while earning First Team All-Conference honors and being a First Team All-State nominee.
