PRIOR TO HUMBOLDT:  Ruffin is a 6-5 guard who averaged 9.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game this past season at Portland State.  He led the Vikings in scoring in four games including recording 17 double-figure scoring games. Prior to Portland State, Ruffin played two seasons at the University of Omaha where he averaged 13.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game during the 2020-21 season.  Ruffins was an All-Summit League honoree while averaging 15.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in league games. He was the Summit League Sixth Man of the Year in 2019-20.  He also played one season at Highland Community College where he averaged 13.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while earning All-NJCAA Region IV and All-Conference honors. 
 
HIGH SCHOOL:  Ruffin was a three-year letter-winner at Sun Prairie High School in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.  As a senior, Ruffin averaged 18.6 points per game and earned unanimous First Team All-State honors.  The Big 8 Conference Player of the Year was the All-Area Player of the Year.  The Sun Prairie High captured the conference, regional and sectional championships his senior season on the way to its first state tournament appearance in school history.

PERSONAL: Son to Marilyn and Jerry Ruffin...Majoring in Criminal and Justice Studies... Has a cat named Meadow
