PRIOR TO HUMBOLDT:  Transferred to Cal Poly Humboldt from Sacramento State in Fall 2022.....Competed in three meets for the Hornets in Fall 2021....Ran a 26:59.5 in the Bronco Invitational (his personal best)....Graduated from Antioch HS in 2021...Placed second at the Bay Valley Athletic League Finals in the 800 and 1600 as a senior...Set personal best times at the league championships with times of 2:04.70 in the 800 and 4:29.87 in the 1600...Finished third in the BVAL in the 3200 his freshman season and sixth in both the 1600 and 3200 his sophomore season...Finished fifth in the 800 at the BVAL his freshman season.

PERSONAL:  Majoring in Botany...Son of Dave Phillips and Stacey Wheat...Brother of Blake and Mattison...Enjoys cycling, rapping, bug collecting, and breeding fruit flies...Fun fact, he likes to sew and he has pet shrimps and a cat.
