Coach Blas is entering his third season as the assistant coach under Michelle Bento-Jackson at Cal Poly Humboldt. The Los Angeles, California, native graduated from the former Humboldt State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During the 2018-19 season, he was a member of the Lumberjack men’s basketball team.
Prior to returning to his alma mater, Blas was a head coach for Southeast Warriors AAU and a varsity assistant coach for Pioneer High School in Whittier, Calif.
Blas received his Associate of Arts in Social Science from Los Angeles Valley College in 2016. From 2014-16, he was a member of the men’s basketball team at Los Angeles Valley College and named team captain for two seasons. Blas was a three-time Player of the Week in the Western State Conference and finished second in the state of California in three-point field goal percentage.
