HUMBOLDT (2023): 2x Lumberjack of the Week (2022): Member of GNAC Crew of Week, Varsity 4+ captured both of their races at the Covered Bridge Regatta in Dexter, Oregon...Humboldt won the first flight with a time of 8:14.02...Came back in the afternoon during a rain and wind storm to win the second flight in a time of 9:36.3..Member of Novice 4+ that finished third at Sacramento State Invitational...Also a member of the Varsity 4+ that finished fourth at the same regatta...Finished fourth at Aggie Invite as member of the varsity 4+...At Falcon Regatta, member of varsity 4+ that finished in third in Flight I...Finished third in Grand Final at WIRA's as member of the Varsity 4+....At GNAC's, varsity 4+ finished in fourth...Named to GNAC All-Academic Team....(2021):  D2ADA Academic Achievement...(2020):  Novice Team Captain…Placed third for Novice 8 of Head of the Lagoon.

PRIOR TO HUMBOLDT: Four-year member of the swim, basketball, volleyball and cross country teams…One of two athletes who got the award of tri-sport athlete all four-years in high school…Became a member of the rowing team at HSU after reading the rowing legend adversity novel “The Boys in the Boat”…Also knew a previous member of the team who was a high school friend.
 
PERSONAL: Majoring in Biology, with a concentration in Ecology...Minoring in Environmental planning and Policy...Daughter to Michael and Tia Desplancke...Enjoys reading, knitting, and hiking

"I chose Humboldt for the biology program but also for the beauty of the area being close to the redwoods and the ocean. The team was an incredible bonus to my college experience."
