Why Did You Choose Humboldt?
"I chose Humboldt for several reasons. First, was for the Environmental Science program. Humboldt was top ranked for this program nationally, and the price couldn’t be beat compared to private schools. Second, I was very intrigued that the school had a women's rowing program. I had rowed for seven seasons in high school and been a coxswain for three seasons following my high school graduation. I didn’t know at that time that I was going to join the team, but I liked that I had the option. Finally, I wanted to live somewhere where I could be connected to nature. I was attracted to the redwoods and the access to outdoor recreation."
