PRIOR TO HUMBOLDT: Graduated from Etiwanda High School...MVP on freshman soccer team...Most Improved Player on sophomore T&F... Voted Rookie of the Year in Cross Country, junior year...T&F Coach's Award...Voted Outstanding Runner in XC and Most Valuable Runner in T&F, senior year.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Zoology...Daughter of Carlos and Marisol Cortes...Enjoys photography, hiking, and reading.
