Marissa LaBelle

    Assistant Coach (High Jump)
Humboldt high jump national champion Marissa LaBelle will assist with high jumpers in her role as assistant coach. 

She won the high jump title at the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships and also earned All-American honors in the heptathlon. She was an Academic All-American, and achieved All-Region honors in the heptathlon and high jump in 2016 and heptathlon, high jump, and triple jump in 2017. She was the CCAA Athlete of the Year, the Scholar Athlete of the Year, Track and Field Athlete of the Year, and school nominee for NCAA Women of the Year. In 2024, she was inducted into the Humboldt Athletics Hall of Fame. 

She also served as the triple jump and long jump coach at McKinleyville High School in 2013, and earned her multiple subject elementary education teaching credential. LaBelle is currently working on her doctorate. 

McCay earned a bachelor of arts in liberal studies elementary education with a minor in kinesiology in 2017.
