Teigan Eilers

Teigan Eilers is in his third season as a full-time assistant coach. Eilers has previously coached the Lumberjacks in the multi-events, jumps, and javelin.
 
Eilers graduated from Humboldt State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology, emphasizing in exercise science and coaching. He followed up his a degree with an internship in coaching working alongside head coach Sarah Ingram.
 
During his collegiate career, Eilers earned multiple honors including men’s field athlete of year in 2013, 2015, and 2017, as well as being recognized for Excellence in Intercollegiate Athletics in 2015 and 2017. Eilers was also a nominee for the 2017 HSU outstanding athlete of the year.
 
In 2015, Eilers achieved USTFCCCA All-West Region selection for a first-place finish in the decathlon at the 2015 CCAA Conference Championship meet. In his final season at HSU (2017), Eilers achieved a second-place finish at the conference championship meet, qualifying for the NCAA DII national championship, where he placed 10th for second-team all-American honors.
 
The Fortuna, California, native currently holds the program record in the Decathlon (6908), is  6th all-time in the 100m (10.76s), 5th all-time in the long jump (7.18m), and 8th all-time in the javelin throw (56.05m/183’ 11)
