Braeden Ferrone enters his first official season on the Cal Poly Humboldt volleyball coaching staff under head coach Angela Spoja, though his connection to the program dates back further. He joined as a practice player in Spring 2025 before taking on an expanded coach/player role last season.
Ferrone was named San Diego Section Libero of the Year in 2022 during his high school career. He went on to play libero at Orange Coast College from 2022 to 2024, where he was part of a standout squad that captured three straight CCCAA state championships, capping his final season with a perfect 20-0 record.
Ferrone transferred to Cal Poly Humboldt, earning his degree in Business Administration with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Management in Spring 2026.
His coaching background includes work with the Balboa Bay Youth Volleyball Club, two seasons as head coach of the Cal Poly Humboldt Men's Volleyball Club team, and his current role with True North Volleyball Club.
Now with the Lumberjacks, Ferrone brings a unique perspective shaped by his experience in the men's game, offering student-athletes fresh insight as they refine their skills and compete at a high level. Dedicated to the growth of the program and the athletes as individuals on and off the court, he is excited to help guide Humboldt's continued success.
