Dr. Julie Alderson has been the campus Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) since 2023. As FAR, Julie serves as a liaison between the Athletics Department and Academic Affairs. Her focus is on advocacy for student-athletes and supporting their academic success.
A Humboldt alumni, Julie received B.A. degrees in English and Art (Art History Concentration) in 1994. She completed her graduate work in Art History at Rutgers University, earning an M.A. in 1996 and a PhD in 2004. Her research interests include topics in Sculpture, Public Art and Land Art, as well as museum methodology and theory.
