Stacie Lyans is a Director of Development at Cal Poly Humboldt, where she works within the Office of University Advancement. Her primary focus is on major gift fundraising for Athletics, as well as supporting broader University initiatives and fundraising efforts.
In April 2021, Stacie returned to Humboldt as Associate Director of Development for Athletics after being away from campus for over nine years. She brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education, community relations, and fundraising.
Before rejoining Humboldt, Stacie worked in North Lake Tahoe as the Community Relations Analyst for the Tahoe City Public Utility District and as Executive Director of the Tahoe City Downtown Association. In these roles, she successfully enhanced fundraising through event programming, marketing, social media management, and major gift cultivation.
Stacie also spent over 11 years in Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach at Sierra Nevada University and Humboldt State University. As Director of Admissions at Sierra Nevada University, she increased undergraduate enrollment by 20% in fall 2018 through the use of predictive analytics and personalized recruitment strategies. At Humboldt, her outreach efforts significantly contributed to record enrollment for her alma mater.
Originally from the Los Angeles area, Stacie moved north after high school to join HSU’s women’s intercollegiate soccer team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in business from Humboldt. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner, Gardner, and their son, Aspen.
