Lumberjacks Notes: The Lumberjacks' 72-76 loss to Chico State on Friday ended their three-game winning streak. The next night's 72-61 win over Cal State Stanislaus maintained their road record at .500 (3-3). Bobic led the team this past weekend averaging 14.5 points per game and .444 (4-9) from the three-point range, while posting .538 (7-13) from the field and .786 (11-14) from the line. “Andrea had a great weekend,” HSU's head women's basketball coach Joddie Gleason said. “It was nice to see her spark off the bench. Not only did she hit shots but she did well on defense. She's a smart player and did a good job at getting to the line during the Stanislaus game.” …Enos and Kilgore contributed 17 and 16 points, respectively this weekend, both averaging .400 from behind the arc (4-10). “I was glad to see Enos hit those shots at Chico,” Gleason said. “She's been pressing a little and it was nice to see her play well and gain her confidence.”… Despite their foul trouble last weekend, Taylor and Franci still lead the team in scoring and rebounding. Taylor, with 184 points, is the team's new leading scorer, averaging 14.2 points per game, while Franci drops down one spot, averaging 14.1 ppg (183 points). Opponent's Notes: Cal Poly Pomona dropped both of its games last weekend to Cal State San Bernardino (59-61 overtime loss) and UC San Diego (58-62), snapping its six-game winning streak. The Broncos enter this weekend's match-up with an 8-7 overall mark and hold a 4-2 CCAA record, tying HSU for third place in league standings. …CPP has two players averaging in double-figure scoring in Reyana Colson (16.7 per game) and Megan Ford (10.5 per game). Ford and Colson follow with 7.6 and 6.3 rebounds per game, respectively. Colson also tops the team with 27 steals while Walton follows with 23. …“Pomona is an athletic team, especially with their point guard – Reyana Colson – who has joined them after missing the team's first five games. Colson leads the team in scoring and assists and can just do everything, so we need to contain her if at all possible.” From the bench Paulina Kotula ranks second on the team with seven blocks and contributes four steals. …CPP tops the conference in three-point field goal defense, limiting opponets to a .270 percentage, and is second in overall field goal defense with .373
. …Cal State San Bernardino split last week's CCAA competition, with an overtime 61-59 win over Cal Poly Pomona and a 62-52 loss to UC San Diego, for CSUSB's first league loss. Head-to-Head: HSU leads CPP 4-2 in the teams' all-time series record. The Jacks defeated the Broncos 55-51 in their second meeting last season. …After splitting last season's meetings, the Jacks hold a 1-3 all-time series record with Cal State San Bernardino, with the Jacks defeating the Coyotes 65-64 in the team's last meeting.

Gleason's Comments: “Our best defensive weapon against Pomona is to take care of the ball and not let them get easy shots from our turnovers. Pomona is amongst the top teams in the conference in rebounding, so we need to make sure we get in there and rebound.” … “San Bernardino is more well-rounded. They have a lot of weapons and can shoot inside and out so we need to force them to take tough shots from the perimeter.” … “San Bernardino has a solid half court defense that makes it tough to take easy shots. We need to execute our offense and shoot from the perimeter.”
