Gleason's Comments
“Chico State is a really athletic team and balanced in their scoring. They have a good combination of an inside and outside presence, so it is always difficult to defend everyone. It is one of those tough match-ups that we are really going to have to prepare for.” … “(Alishea) Kelly is a transfer who wasn't eligible in the fall, so we haven't seen her yet. In talking to coaches who have played against (Cal State Stanislaus), they say she is legit and someone to focus on. (Katie) Busi is such a powerhouse inside. She rebounds, scores and uses her body well. If they have another player that they can rely on offensively they are that much tougher to match-up against.” … “Hopefully we can use (Saturday's 66-50 loss at Cal Poly Pomona) to help us move forward. We watched the film and pinpointed all the details that we need to improve upon. Things that we have done against lesser teams, and gotten away with, we can't do against good teams. We have to eliminate those mistakes and make some adjustments. We have to rebound better and execute in our offense better against good defensive teams. We are not withstanding the pressure and executing our offense.”
