Gleason's Comments
“I was pleased that last week we pulled out a couple of wins in different ways. At SFSU we didn't shoot well and we had to grind it out and earn the win defensively and by rebounding. It was nice to see us win a different way. Against Monterey Bay, we had Brittney (Taylor) out for most of the game. We had to put it away without her offensive contribution. A number of other players, particularly
Paige Peterson, stepped up and helped us earn that victory.” … “Traditionally (Cal State) San Bernardino is a very disciplined team. They don't make a lot of mistakes. They really defend well and force you to play at a very high level on offense. They have the leading scorer in the conference (Krystal Urzua). We need to do everything we can to slow her down.” … “(Cal Poly) Pomona has the third leading scorer in the CCAA and just a great point guard in Reyana Colson. It is really difficult to slow her down and keep her from doing what she want do. They have also added a number of good players to increase their depth and Megan Ford is back at center.” … “With the travel and the level of competition, I expect this to be one of our most challenging weekends.”
