Head Coach Frank Cheek's Comments
“Last week we faced a team that was full of seniors and they took advantage of our youth and inexperience. They were very savvy and knew how to use their experience to their benefit. … We are where we are now because I did not do my job in the Fall. I worked with our freshmen and not our returners and it is showing now. Most of our upperclassman are struggling because I didn't give them enough of my time. … We are making mistakes in the field that we shouldn't be making. … On the positive side, Hampton and Stalf have both been hitting well. Hampton is very consistent and Ketteringham is there as well. Her speed keeps her on a very steady pace. … (Cal State) San Bernardino will be tough just because we are on the road. Every team in this league is tough.”
