Head Coach Frank Cheek's Comments
“You look around the league and everybody is beating up on each other. Most teams, especially (Cal State) Monterey Bay, are playing well at home, but nobody is playing well on the road. You look at us and we left two wins out there on the road.” … “It's good for us to not have played in two weeks. At times we are starting up to five freshman and they are going to make freshman mistakes. We started to see them bounce back in the last three games in San Bernardino and we don't need time off right now we need to play. Our rate of improvement is going to be greater than other teams throughout this season. But we need to be on the field and in real competitive situation in order to improve. Working out in the Field House is fine in bad weather, but we need to be on the field.”
