Rain continues to play havoc with Jacks

ARCATA — With rain forcing the rescheduling of six games earlier in the year season, this week the Jacks had planned to host the first 10 of 14 consecutive home games.   But, inclement weather has forced the postponement of the weeks first four games and threatens the rest.

The Jacks (16-19, 5-11 CCAA) were to play Monday and Tuesday against California Collegiate Athletic Association opponent San Francisco State to make up for rainouts on Feb. 26 and 27.  The series has been postponed due to weather and no make-up date had been announced.

On Wednesday, Notre Dame de Namur will be in town to make up a doubleheader that was rained out on Feb. 28.  First pitch has been moved back to 2 p.m. and the game will be played at McKinleyville High School.

Then over the weekend CCAA foe Cal State East Bay travels north for a twin doubleheader.  On Friday the teams are scheduled to square off in a 1 p.m. start.  On Saturday the squads wrap up the series with an 11 a.m. first pitch.
