It was a battle between the two clubs in game three. Humboldt State's lead off hitter, Nikki Ketteringham (2-5), started things off for the Jacks with a home run bomb over the right field fence. With two on base, junior standout
Kirsten Nouzovsky added another homer to her resume, putting the Jacks with a comfortable four run advantage, early.
The Pioneers answered, adding two runs off a Taylor Neumann home run.
Both teams sprinkled runs over the next five innings but Humboldt still held the edge with a 6-5 lead over the host.
A big Pioneer sixth inning got the best of the Jacks. CSUEB put up five runs off of four hits and took control of the lead.
Humboldt led both teams in hits. The Jacks belted 13 with no recorded errors while the PIoneers had 9 hits with one error. All but two Lumberjacks recorded at least one hit. The Jacks were led by Ketteringham, Geneva Perrine (2-4),
Chrissy Stalf (2-4), Felicia Vivieros (2-3), Nouzovsky (1-2), Ally Blenis (1-2), Lindsay Warren (1-2), Courtney Hiatt (1-1) and
Alicia Reid (1-4).
Jessica George (3-5) pitched a complete game for the Jacks and earned the loss.

Jennifer Sizemore (2-2) delivered a winning game in the circle for the Jacks. Sizemore was able to produce something the Lumberjacks have been searching for...a win.
Sizemore allowed eight runs in the fourth contest but was able to control her pitches and back up the offense, which has been dominant thus far.
Chrissy Stalf is responsible for three of the four runs. Stalf belted a single homer in the first and a two-run home run in the seventh, scoring Andrea Chavez who singled to center field earlier in the inning. Felicia Vivieros added the other run to the board, also in the seventh, with a one-run homer to left field.
Chavez (3-3), Stalf (2-3), Vivieros (2-3), Hiatt (1-2), Warren (1-2), and Reid (2-3) each added support with the bat.
