Box Score HAYWARD – Humboldt State put eight shots on goal, but saw all fly high or wide in an array of attempts to tie Sunday's match.
Cal State East Bay rode Javier Martin's two first half goals and held off the HSU second half attempts for the 2-1 victory.

HSU's early charge did not stop as
Austin Swartz found the goal for the first time on the year less than four minutes later at 52:07 off a loose ball he would redirect into the corner of the goal.
Over the final 29:43, the Jacks directed eight more shots at the Pioneers' goal, but to no avail.
HSU outshot Cal State East Bay (4-11-1/4-9-1 CCAA North) 16-10, including 10-4 in the second half.
Ryan Ades (59:21) recorded four saves and
Chris Bean (30:39) had the other Jacks save in goal.
Martin recorded his pair of scores over a five-minute span with the first coming at 17:11 and the second at 22:41 for the home 2-0 advantage.
HSU will make its last road trip of the year next Friday in Turlock at Cal State Stanislaus starting at 4:30 p.m.
