LAS VEGAS -- The Humboldt State softball team used five home runs and rallied from an eight-run deficit to defeat Western Oregon, 11-9, in game one of Saturday night's Desert Stinger Tournament action. It followed up the win with a 9-2 victory over No. 14 Augustana in the nightcap.
"We got two big wins today," said HSU Head Coach
Shelli Sarchett. "I am proud of the way this team came back and played Humboldt State softball. Against Western Oregon, we held strong and came back from a deficit.
