ARCATA, Calif. –
A pair of nationally-ranked undefeated programs will take the field Saturday at Tomlinson Stadium as No. 17 Humboldt State football travels north for a showdown with No. 13 Central Washington. Kickoff at 1 p.m.

HSU has chopped down all four of its regular season opponents, including last week's non-conference win over Chadron State. The Lumberjacks will be facing their second nationally-ranked opponent of the season on Saturday after defeating then No. 8-ranked Azusa Pacific in the regular season opener.

Central Washington is off to a 5-0 start and will be playing just its second home game of the season when it hosts HSU. Tomlinson Stadium should have an electric atmosphere and packed stands as Saturday's game will be the Wildcats' homecoming. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 23-10-1.

Robert Webber continues to be one of the nation's top passers following last week's 56-13 win over the visiting Eagles. Webber leads the nation in passing efficiency (214.8) and passing yards per completion (17.06).

On the other side of the ball, sophomore Davaeon Johnson was tabbed the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Johnson matched a single-game conference record with three interceptions versus Chadron State.

The Wildcats have one of the GNAC's stingiest defenses and leads the league in first down defense, passes intercepted, kickoff return defense, red zone defense and rushing defense. Defensive lineman Bo Banner has been a standout for Central Washington, and the senior leads the team with 5.0 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss.
