POMONA, Calif. – The Humboldt State men's basketball team continues to tinker with its offense, but hasn't yet found the answer as it fell to Cal Poly Pomona 66-50 Saturday night in Kellogg Arena.

The Lumberjacks lost their third straight road game and moved to 3-6 overall and 0-4 in conference play.

Pomona made a statement to start the game scoring 11 of the first 12 points and held HSU without a field goal until the 13:51 mark. The Broncos withstood a 9-0 push by the Jacks and ended the half on a 14-5 run. HSU trailed 36-25 at the break.

The Broncos' matchup zone continued to apply pressure in the second half, and HSU shot 25.9 percent from the field en route to the 16-point loss. Ashton Pomrehn sank four 3-pointers following intermission for all of his team-high 12 points.

Pomona outrebounded the Green and Gold 39-31, and the home team scored 28 points off 19 HSU miscues. The Broncos' Jordan Ogendiran led all scorers with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
