ARCATA, Calif. – One week removed from a 21-point, come-from-behind victory in Monmouth, Ore., No. 19-ranked Humboldt State football hosts Chadron State in Redwood Bowl Saturday at 6 p.m.
The Lumberjacks are off to a 3-0 start and are tied for first place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference standings. Chadron State, a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, has a 3-1 record and is the winner of its last two games.
In last season's meeting, a four-yard touchdown run from
Blair Zerr with 11:04 remaining in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference for the Green and Gold. HSU won the road matchup 31-27.
Receiver
John Todd earned conference player of the week honors for his 225-yard, three-touchdown performance in Saturday's win over Western Oregon. He is averaging 113.7 receiving yards per game, which ranks second in the GNAC, and he leads the Jacks with 341 total receiving yards.
The Eagles' high-scoring offensive attack has been on display in their last two outings. Chadron State has outscored its last two opponents 122-33. Freshman quarterback Dalton Holst has led the nation's 16th-ranked passing attack, and he passed for 223 yards and two touchdowns in last week's 73-26 win against Adams State.

HSU students, faculty and staff receive free admission to the game with campus ID, and a free student tailgate will be held in the Redwood Bowl Plaza beginning at 5 p.m. The tailgate will feature free food, music, games and facepainting.
