Men’s Soccer Welcomes Sonoma State This Weekend

| By:
ARCATA, Calif. – Humboldt State men's soccer faces another difficult challenge as it hosts Sonoma State Saturday at College Creek Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Lumberjacks are 4-8-2 overall heading into the rematch. Saturday's game will not count as a conference game.

Sonoma State has dropped four consecutive matches and is 2-9-3 this season. The Seawolves rank 12th in the CCAA averaging .929 goals per game and Sonoma has been shutout in three straight outings. Sophomore Sabastian Santos is the Seawolves' biggest weapon as he leads the team with 15 points, six goals and three assists.

Santos notched Sonoma's lone goal in its previous meeting with HSU, a 1-1 tie in Rohnert Park. The Green and Gold have a 19-33-7 all-time record against the Seawolves.

Saturday's game will be the Public Safety Appreciation Day. All public safety employees will receive free admission with ID and the first 40 will get a free gift.
