ARCATA, Calif. – The Humboldt State women's volleyball team will head to Turlock and Chico and continue its conference schedule this weekend. The Lumberjacks will face Stanislaus State and Chico State Friday and Saturday, respectively, and both games begin at 5 p.m.
The Green and Gold are coming off three road losses over a long weekend with stops at UC San Diego, Cal State San Marcos and Cal State Monterey Bay. Outside hitter Lauren Reid led the team with 13 kills against UC San Diego while defensive specialist Odelia Ryan had 19 digs against San Marcos. Setter Julianna Bertolucci concluded the road trip at Monterey Bay with 12 assists. The Jacks are 3-19 overall and 0-14 in the conference.
Coming off a loss at Dominguez Hills, the Chico State Wildcats are 5-10 in California Collegiate Athletic Association action and 12-11 overall. Outside hitter Bekah Boyle leads her team with 283 kills, averaging 3.52 points per set. Returning from a loss in the Bay Area, Stanislaus State is 13-10 overall and 6-9 in the conference. Warriors' outside hitter Sierra Adams ranks ninth in the conference in kills with 248.
HSU returns home next week to conclude its 2018 season. The Jacks will host their Senior Day Nov. 3 at 7.p.m. in Lumberjack Arena.
