ARCATA, Calif. –
Coming off an undefeated weekend, the Lumberjacks look to ride their momentum into California Collegiate Athletic Association play. HSU men's soccer will be traveling to Rohnert Park to face rival Sonoma State Wednesday at 4 p.m at Seawolf Soccer Field.

The Jacks (3-1) offense seemed to be clicking this past weekend as the Green and Gold recorded six goals as they shutout Concordia (Ore.) 3-0 and defeated Academy of Art 3-1. Senior forward Gus Baxter leads the team with nine points, with two goals and three assists on the young season. Senior goalkeeper Bryan Hernandez has been a wall in goal versus opposing offenses and has 23 saves and two shutouts.

HSU beat the Seawolves 3-2 last year in the teams only meeting of the season.

Sonoma State enters the match with a record of 2-1-1 after they tied with Montana State Billings 1-1 last Sunday. Sophomore forward Sebastian Santos has been on an offensive tear posting three goals and three assists. Sophomore forward Brian Field has also contributed offensively with three goals of his own despite coming off the bench in all four games this season.

The North Coast squad returns home Sunday, Sept. 16 as they face San Francisco State at 2 p.m. at College Creek Field.
