Volleyball Makes SoCal Trip to Face Coyotes and Broncos

ARCATA, Calif. – The Humboldt State volleyball team looks to regain momentum as they travel to face CSU San Bernardino Friday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. The Lumberjacks will conclude their road trip with a match against Cal Poly Pomona the following day at 7 p.m. in Kellogg Gym.

After dropping two last week, the Jacks currently hold a record of 3-7. Sophomore setter Juliana Bertolucci has been a pivotal part of the offense as she leads the team with 222 assists. On the defensive side of the ball, senior Natalie Picone is third in the conference with 174 digs.

Fresh off a five-game winning streak, CSU San Bernardino sits at 9-1 overall. Sophomore outside hitter Alexis Cardoza leads the conference with 153 kills averaging 4.64 per set. Senior setter Jayann DeHoog leads all CCAA schools with 406 assists.

Winners of eight straight matches, Cal Poly Pomona also holds a 9-1 record. Senior outside hitter Andrea Bosnic is third in the conference with 15 service aces. Senior libero Alex Bollier has 149 assists and averages 4.97 per set.

HSU will head back to the North Coast Friday, Sept. 21 as they face Sonoma State at 5 p.m. in Lumberjack Arena.
