MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. — Humboldt State softball completed a doubleheader sweep of Notre Dame de Namur Thursday afternoon at the McKinleyville High School Softball Field. The Lumberjacks won the series opener 12-1 before taking the second 15-1.
The result moves the Jacks to 6-13 overall with a 2-12 mark versus California Collegiate Athletic Association opponents.

Hanna Holland became the program's career stolen bases leader as she swiped second base early in game one, pushing her total to 146. The Green and Gold exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the third highlighted by a three-run double from sophomore catcher
Micaela Harris. HSU tacked on two more in the fourth frame as the Jacks finished with 12 hits. Sophomore pitcher
Lexee Sheiring tossed a complete game on her way to the victory. She only surrendered one hit and one unearned run while recording five strikeouts.
In game two, the Jacks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second before taking the game over with a five-run inning in the third. Harris turned in a stellar performance as she went 3-for-3 with six RBI and two runs scored. Her afternoon was capped with a bases-clearing triple in the fourth. Freshman pitcher
Megan Holt threw five strong innings for Humboldt as she allowed one run on three hits.
The Lumberjacks will return to CCAA action next week as they travel to conference rival Sonoma State for a four-game series. First pitch of the series opener is scheduled for Monday at noon at the Seawolf Softball Field.
