ARCATA, Calif. – Humboldt State men's basketball announced the signing of forward Noah Viera from Torrey Pines High School in San Diego Friday.

"We are proud to announce the signing of another special student-athlete," said HSU Head Coach Steve Kinder. "Noah will bring so many facets to our basketball program for the next four years. His ability to play winning basketball on both ends of the floor comes from his impressive career and experience at Torrey Pines. Winning is in his DNA.  Noah can out-length you with his height, and stretch the floor with his 3-point range. I believe Noah can become a great player in our conference by developing each year and potentially be a leader in our program."

Viera, a 6-8 forward, was selected to the Second Team All-San Diego Section and earned MVP honors for the Open Division champions. The senior plays for the Supreme Court travel team coached by Chris Dudley.

"I'd like to thank Coach Kinder and Coach Mendoza for giving me the opportunity to play Basketball at the next level," said Viera. "I'm very excited to get to work and do some big things this season as a group. Go Jacks!"
